The gathering

A shared exploration.

The first hour includes a talk and guided inquiry from Nic and Amy. The second hour is open conversation. You can share a question or simply listen.

People bring ordinary situations, including a difficult relationship or an insight that is hard to live. You can speak in your own words.

Our approach

Turning towards life.

Some spiritual paths treat nonduality as a turning inward. You close your eyes and quiet the senses, treating the world as an illusion to leave behind. An outward-facing approach stays with the world. All its variety, and everything you sense and do in a day, is the one reality expressing itself.

Inward-only nonduality seeks freedom from the world. It looks for that freedom in deep meditation, seeking pure awareness, or in renouncing experience, and treats the body and its desires as limits or illusions to get beyond.

Outward-facing nonduality finds freedom to engage in life. Where the inward path sees a trap, this one sees reality showing itself, lively and still unfolding. Freedom comes through recognising that every form, including each sensation and emotion, is reality expressing itself. In conscious beings like us, reality also gets to experience itself. Nothing has to be escaped.
